Make your own Sushi:
Ingredients:
Sushi Grade Fish
Two vegetables or other fillings
Short-Grained Rice
Rice Vinegar
Nori (a thin sheet of seaweed, ideal for rolling sushi.)
Ginger Root
Wasabi
Soy Sauce
Method:
Prepare the rice vinegar by heating it with sugar and salt until they are dissolved.
Rinse the rice in cold water for several minutes.
Bring water to a boil, add the rice, then cook over very low heat until the water is evaporated.
Place Nori down on the bamboo mat covered with plastic wrap.
Spread the cooked rice onto the Nori, leaving about half an inch of space at the end.
Line up your ingredients in the middle of the nori. Roll the sushi away from you, tighten as you go.
Cover your roll with the bamboo mat and press your hands over it to further pack the roll.
Slice into pieces.

Lamb
Preparation Time – 20 minutesCooking Time – 115 minutes
Ingredients:
1.8kg leg or shoulder of lamb
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
16 (about 2cm each) sprigs fresh rosemary
Olive oil, to brush
Salt & freshly ground black pepper
2 1/2 tbs olive oil
375ml (1 1/2 cups) beef stock
Method:
Preheat oven to 220°C. Make 16 1cm-deep slits in the lamb. Press a slice of garlic and a sprig of rosemary into each slit. Brush lamb with oil, season with pepper. Roast the lamb in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 180°C. Roast for 90 minutes. Carefully transfer the lamb to a carving plate or shallow tray, cover loosely with foil and set aside to rest.
Place the roasting pan over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually stir in the stock until well combined. Increase heat to high and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to medium-high and boil, uncovered, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Serve the lamb with the roast vegetables, gravy and steamed green beans.

Bread Pudding
Ingredients:
113 grams of grated stale bread
Five cups of milk, boiled with two or three sticks of cinnamon, slightly broken.
Eight eggs
Half a cup of sugar
Some grated lemon-peel
Method:
Boil the milk with cinnamon, strain it, and set aside to cool.
Grate 113 grams of stale bread crumbs.
Beat the eggs, stir into milk, then stir in bread and sugar.
Add the lemon-peel.
Bake it in a buttered dish on low for 35-45 minutes, until golden brown. Grate nutmeg over it when done.
Allow to cool.
